The FIRST international robot competition was held in St. Louis in March 2014. Grandson Tim and his team's robot, Eclipse, participated as a result of winning two regional competitions. Their robot is the tall one that looks like a black deck chair sitting on a platform. In the video on the left, Eclipse played defense against the other tall robot, Killer Bee. Team 20 made the finals but lost in the first round. There were 38 countries represented, with 1,200 teams participating. What fun! And what accomplishments for all the budding engineers and technological designers who put together these robots and made them work.

Please disregard the YouTube videos that follow the robot competition. YouTube adds videos to all that are posted. The ones from YouTube have no connection with mine.
